Hello, the Plesk panel has been installed, but some configurations are missing. Which configurations need to be completed to ensure the system runs smoothly and stably? Additionally, what steps should we take for security purposes? I only want to host my own websites, not offer commercial hosting. What settings do I need to configure for this? I will also redirect the sites to Cloudflare. Furthermore, LiteSpeed is installed on the system. Some people recommend installing fail2ban and modsecurity. Since we have installed the LiteSpeed system, I am awaiting your assistance. Thank you.

Hi, If you’re planning to use Cloudflare and want to run the mail remotely, you can select the components as shown below.

You can use PHP 8.4; there won’t be any issues. I’ve completely removed the mail component, since you’ll be using mail remotely anyway. Additionally, I enabled Plesk Firewall, Fail2ban, and ModSecurity among the components. You’ll need to configure these as well.

How can I configure these? Additionally, can't I ensure security by closing the ports? I don't want anyone else to access my Plesk panel unless I give them permission. I can't set IP restrictions because IP addresses are variable, so this would not be a viable solution.

Hmm, I hadn’t thought of that, but you can get a static IP from your internet service provider, or set up a Linux GUI environment on a simple server with 1 CPU and 1 GB RAM and handle the connections from there for security.

Still, the decision is yours. Assuming you have a static IP address, you can configure the firewall as shown below.

My recommendation would be to obtain a static IP address. With the firewall and Plesk panel included, you will block access to many addresses. Thanks to the above rules, only ports 80 and 443 are accessible. If you want to close these ports as well, you can define CF IP addresses for those ports.

I don't want to get a static IP. Frankly, can't we provide a different level of security? After setting up what you sent in the image, are there any adjustments I need to make? Are there any situations where I need to pay attention to the settings?

Please perform the red-colored operations in the image I sent, and if there is no static IP, you can skip the yellow-colored ones.
