📧 Setting Hourly Email Sending Limits in Plesk Panel
No one wants their server to send emails uncontrollably.Malicious scripts or spam attacks can harm your server’s IP reputation and even get it blacklisted.
To prevent this, Plesk offers a built-in feature that allows you to limit the number of outgoing emails per hour.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to easily configure this setting.
🛠️ Configuring the Hourly Email Limit in Plesk
Setting up hourly email limits in Plesk is simple. Follow these steps:- Log in to your Plesk Panel with your administrator account.
- From the main dashboard, navigate to Tools & Settings.
- Under the Mail section, click on Mail Server Settings.
- Scroll down to find the section titled "Limitations on outgoing email messages".
- Here, you can define the maximum number of emails that can be sent per hour from your server.
- If you select "Unlimited", no restrictions will apply — however, it’s strongly recommended to set a specific limit for security reasons.
Once configured, your server will automatically block any additional outgoing messages that exceed the defined hourly threshold — helping you prevent spam and maintain a clean IP reputation.
