The following is a step-by-step guide on how to install ProMods modifications to be able to play on a ProMods server.
If you've played ProMods in singleplayer before, you don't need to do anything to make sure you have the latest version, otherwise you'll get an error message when you try to connect to a ProMods server saying that files with changes are missing.
You can create an account by entering ProMods in the address line or log in to your account if you already have one.
Go to ProMods You will be asked to select a language and then create a “def” file. Not all options in the definition file are available in multiplayer.
Select your preferred option for how you want to download ProMods.The paid (fast) option allows you to download the full mod to a single archive at a faster speed than the free (slow) option.If you have selected the slow option, you will need to download all files one by one.
Please note, the Middle East Add-on Pack will be supported, this will not apply to the Trailer and Company Pack, although this may be supported in the future.
After downloading the files, collect the downloaded files in a folder. If you do not have 7-zip installed on your PC, install it from here. Then we come to the file named promods-v210.7z (1st) in the folder and follow the paths right click > 7 Zip > Extract Here.
After you say “Extract Here”, new files will be added to that folder. Put the new files into the My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod folder.
Here are the files that should come after you say “Extract Here” and should be thrown into the My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod folder.
Run the TruckersMP launcher, select the option to launch ETS2 and then select the ProMods server. Please note that it may take some time to get past the loading screen.
