🌐 cPanel DNS Record Management – Add or Edit DNS Records

For your website to function properly, DNS records must be configured correctly.
Adding or editing DNS records for a domain via cPanel is a simple and fast process.
In this guide, you’ll learn step-by-step how to add and edit DNS records through cPanel.



➕ Step 1: Adding a New DNS Record

Accessing via cPanel:
  • Log in to cPanel (https://serverip:2083).
  • Navigate to the "Zone Editor" section.
  • Click the "Manage" button next to the domain you wish to modify.

To add a new DNS record:
  1. Click the "Add Record" button in the top-right corner of the Manage section.
  2. Select the record type you wish to create (A, CNAME, TXT, MX, etc.).
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name: Domain or subdomain (e.g., www, mail, api).
    • TTL: Time to Live (you can leave it as default).
    • Record Data: IP address, domain name, or target information.
  4. Click "Add Record" to save changes.

To modify an existing DNS record:
  1. Find the record you wish to edit in the list.
  2. Click the "Edit" button next to it.

You can remove outdated or unnecessary DNS records by clicking the "Delete" button in the same list.
However, make sure to take a backup before deleting any critical records.
