    Introduction: Kali Linux is a Linux distribution designed for security professionals and ethical hackers. This guide will walk you through the steps to install Kali Linux on VMware.

    Requirements:

    • VMware Workstation or VMware Player
    • Kali Linux ISO file (Login or Register to see the download link.)
    • At least 4 GB of RAM and 20 GB of disk space

    Step 1: Install VMware Download and install VMware Workstation or Player on your computer. Once installed, launch the application.

    Step 2: Create a New Virtual Machine

    • Click on Create a New Virtual Machine.
    • Choose either Custom (Advanced) or Typical (Recommended) installation type.
    • Select Installer disc image file (ISO) and browse to the downloaded Kali Linux ISO file.

    Step 3: Configure the Virtual Machine

    • Select Linux as the operating system and Debian 10.x 64-bit as the version.
    • Name your virtual machine and choose an installation path.
    • Allocate disk space (at least 20 GB is recommended).
    • Review the virtual machine settings and click Finish.

    Step 4: Install Kali Linux

    • Start the virtual machine. The Kali Linux installation screen will appear.
    • Select Graphical Install.
    • Set up language, region, and keyboard settings.
    • Configure network settings.
    • Complete the user account, password, and disk partitioning setup.
    • Once the installation is complete, reboot the system.

    Step 5: Install VMware Tools

    • After logging into Kali Linux, open the terminal.
    • Run the command sudo apt update && sudo apt install open-vm-tools-desktop -y.
    • Reboot your virtual machine.

    Conclusion: Kali Linux is now ready to use on VMware. With this setup, you can safely use all the security tools provided by Kali Linux in a virtual environment.
